Near Far Vision - aka Focus Flexibility
When a coach, player or referee changes their focus from near objects to far objects and vice versa, their eyes use their ciliary muscles to change focus to maintain a clear image. And how quickly the individual changes focus from 'near to far' or from 'far to near' depends on this muscles strength and tone.
Another name for near far vision is accommodation, the process by which the eyes adjust their optic power to maintain a clear image of an object as it changes distance from the viewer. And playing speed is directly influenced by visual processing speed, including accommodation. See menu in right column for links to other Near Far Vision exercises.
