Dynamic Acuity Training - Tracking with Your Eyes in Soccer

Dynamic Visual Acuity enables you to clearly see individuals and objects when:
  • they are moving and you are moving,
  • they are moving and you are not moving, and
  • they are not moving and you are not moving.

Visual Contrast Sensitivity is required for Dynamic Visual Acuity. In poor light and/or weather there may not be enough contrast between the object being viewed and the background. In this circumstance tracking of moving individuals and objects will be impaired.

Individuals with a Color Deficiency (aka color blindness) do not see the full range of colors and see muted shades of some or all colors. Often there is not enough contrast between colors for color deficient individuals to track moving objects and/or individuals. Special contrast filters help many individuals track moving objects and individuals. See Color Deficiency
